Check out this great short film, Swing Cats Jamboree, where Louie Prima and his band performs 3-4 songs. There are also some dance in the video clip, for example a tap version of shim sham.
Do you perhaps know who the dancers and/or muscians are? Tell me.
What do you think of the video clip with Louis Prima? Please comment.

Alice Faye and Louis Prima: I'm Just Wild About Harry
A while back I wrote about Louis Prima being the voice behind King Louie in The Jungle Book, but Louis Prima has been in front of the camera as well. Take a look at his wild and funny style in this video clip where Alice Faye sings "I'm Just Wild About Harry" accompanied by Louis Prima in the movie Rose Of Washington Square from 1939.
The handsome bloke that is looking at the show, enjoying it, is played by Tyrone Power who was the Brad Pitt of the 1930's.
I recognize the lick that Louie plays at 0:45 into the clips, but from what other song? Do you know?
What do you think of the video clip with Louis Prima and Alice Faye? Please comment.

Banana Splits for My Baby with MaryAnne (ysabellabrave)
I haven't been checkin in on what's going on with MaryAnne (ysabellabrave) lately so I looked up her videos. I found a most charming version of "Banana Splits for My Baby" sung by MaryAnne.
MaryAnne just radiates joy and happiness and I always get in a good mood when ever I hear her sing. Check out what I've written about her before.
"Banana Splits for My Baby" was played a lot when I started dancing but I haven't heard it in a while, maybe I should play it the next time I dj, what do you think?
I first heard that song in a version that was sung by Louis Prima. You can find "Banana Splits for My Baby" on the album: Capitol Collectors Series.

Louis Prima - The Jungle Book
Did you know that it's Louis Prima who is the voice behind King Louie in the Disney movie The Jungle Book.
Enjoy this video clip from the film where Mowgli and King Louie dances to the song "I Wanna Be Like You". I really like the fact that the bear Baloo can't resist the swinging music and starts to bounce to the rhythm.
I would also like to show you this behind-the-scenes video clip from the recording of I Wanna Be Like You.
I think these video clips is a perfect example of the power of swingin' music, you can't resist it but are compelled to move to the music. "The music made me do it".
What do you think of the videos from the Jungle Book with Louis Prima? Tell me.
