"(I wish I could) Shimmy Like My Sister Kate" is a song that was written as early as 1915 by the violin player Armand J. Piron. Above is a video clip with a collage of people dancing to "Shimmy Like My Sister Kate". The music is done by the group The Ditty Bops.
This shows that music has an enormous power, it can make you do all sorts of wacky dance moves. I call the phenomenon: "The music made me do it".
What do you think of the Ditty Bops version? What is your favorite version of Shimmy Like My Sister Kate? Please comment.
