Some days ago I talked about the song Dat Dere written by Bobby Timmons. Today I want to share another good song written by him: Moanin'. In this video clip organ player Jimmy Smith plays a great version of Moanin' at an outdoor consert in Japan together with the Blue Note Big Band. Jimmy Smith is in a really good mood and has a lot of humour.
The first version of Moanin' I heard was from a great album called "In Blue" by Karrin Allyson.
