Here is video clip from the film Doll Face from 1946 where Perry Como and Martha Stewart sings "Dig You Later (A Hubba-Hubba-Hubba)". Hubba-hubba is an American slang expression that is used to express approval, pleasure, or excitement. The song contains a lot of jive talking and slang expressions.
You will also notice that the film is made very close after the World War 2 and in the beginning of clip they mention the bombing of Japan in a way that maybe is not particulary political correct nowadays. So with this fair warning, take a look at the video clip.
What do you think of the video clip? Tell me.

Perry Como sure is a stiff. Those are about the squarest boogies I've ever seen.
"Hubba Hubba Hubba" - I think it's great! I remember when it was popular when i was about 11 years old and WWII was just ending. Lots of womderful music during the 1940's. No such thing as PC either!
I heard this song today on XM Satellite Radio, which is what prompted me to look the title up on the internet. Looks like you have a good web page- i plan to take a closer look now.
Best wishes - Marilyn Erickson
Hi Marilyn!
Welcome to the blog!
I'm a bit younger, but I remember hearing this tune as a kid in the house (this would be the mid 1970's). I still think this is one of the funnest most danceable swing tunes that ever was. The version from the clip is from the movie and I actually like it a little bit better than the 78 release, but they are both great.
